“Honest scales and balances belong to the Lord; all the weights in the bag are of his making.” Proverbs 16:11
Application to life:
It’s all about timing and balance. Many times we work, spend, worry, or stress too much. God knows what we want and he also is the best at knowing when we are ready to receive it. Since he is the one who designed every inner working, God knows us best. Imagine with me: A child around the age of 6 is given all the money that they will earn in their lifetime…Disaster right? How about we give him some time to learn, so, age 10. Still, disaster. At last this child has had their first job, learned how to pay bills, went to school and has turned 21 years old. No matter the age no one should receive their life earnings at one time. We all go through seasons where we flourish and also when we languish. Now to the point: God knows us more than we know ourselves and because he created us he knows when we are ready to receive the blessings that are in store. Trust God to know what is best and ask him if you have a question. Don’t know how to ask? A lot of the answers are set in the bible but some answers are provided when we pray.
A Worshipper’s Word:
Balance was difficult for me because patience did not come easy. The two truly go hand in hand. In the way of music, I like to rush singing and am almost always ahead of the rhythm. Being ahead is not always the best especially when you want to create a nice ambiance. We can be certain that God is not in a rush and this is because all that has been and will be created will go through a process. My advice is to be still and take a breath. Know that with patience and perseverance that what you would have accomplished halfheartedly will then be accomplished with a developed and firm foundation.
